This show has been one of my favorites in recent years, but it has also been a unique challenge.
This show was a 3 week intensive process, meaning that the entire show was built from the ground up in just 3 weeks.
From a lighting perspective, this show was made difficult because of both the physical limitations in the theater space, but also by the choice to do this show in an 'alleyway' style. I had to move many fixtures around to be able to light the space we were in, while also avoiding unintentional light in the eyes of our audience on both sides of the stage.
From a physical aspect, the theater we were in created issues with the fact that it was designed for proscenium-style shows. This becomes an issue when I have to move lights out to reach actors faces, and there isn't anything to mount them to.
